Plans for the 4th?

I am busy trying to distract myself from the fact that I have today and tomorrow left till vacation. (And by vacation I mean I have Monday off) What are everyone's plans for the fourth?

We are going up to a friends cabin Fri-Sun. Sunday we are going to another friends house on the lake for fireworks and such.

On Monday we will go to my parents' house and grill, and swim, and fish.  Other than that, Andrew has to work the whole weekend, so Camille and I will just hang around the house.

work, of course. My shift got screwed with 3 years of our shift being the one that fell on all the holidays lol. We are planning a kick ass potluck though, and my team throws EPIC ones. This one is going to be one of the best I've ever seen, save for maybe one we had two years ago as a going away deal for a coworker. I'm ridiculously excited about it. Way more than I should be

I'm traveling down south to visit my brother and his FI.  I'm off for a couple weeks!  I don't really know what we'll do down there, but that doesn't really matter to me.

OMG, it's so depressing!  I'm happy it'll be nice and hot on my week off.  Hopefully I'll get a little bit of a tan when I'm at the lake all week.

My parents are coming to visit, so we will be hanging out with them.  We have plans to go to a pool party/cookout on Saturday and a baseball game on Sunday.

OMG, it's so depressing!  I'm happy it'll be nice and hot on my week off.  Hopefully I'll get a little bit of a tan when I'm at the lake all week.

We are heading to the Outer Banks tomorrow afternoon until Monday. We always have a huge family get-together and hang out on the beach all day long until its time to watch fireworks.

DH has to work all weekend, so Liam and I will just be hanging out. Mon MIL will be having a big cookout, then we'll go watch fireworks. Nothing exciting here

It is so beautiful. I love it there. But since it is such a gay mecca each visit is like a summit of the ex's -- major downside of a small lesbian community. The problem is that my ex wife owns a place down there and views herelf as the mayor so I will be a bit on edge all weekend hoping to avoid her and her minions. I will avoid the tennis courts and my favorite bar out on the water just to avoid her. Even so my chances of being successful are slim. 

The incredibly shallow brat in me really really wishes that since I looked pregnant instead of just chubby. If I am going to have to see her for the first time in the years since court, I don't want to look tubby.

I love P-town. We went to a lesbian wedding there years ago and it was freaking amazing.

I hope you can avoid the ex and/or wear empire waist shirts to make you look pregnant & not chubby.

We're going to my parent's house tomorrow night & staying until Monday. They have their 22nd (I think) annual BBQ there on Sunday. Lots of campfires, swimming & fireworks all weekend and I am sofa king excited. The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday.

I have an easy fix.  Just go sit on the beach at Race Point all weekend.  That's what I'd do!

We're leaving tomorrow morning to go to my parents' house in Kentucky for a weekend-long family get together/first birthday party for Jack and his cousin (who's only 10 days older than Jack). Then we'll drive back home on Monday.

I have an easy fix.  Just go sit on the beach at Race Point all weekend.  That's what I'd do!

Normally, I would be all over that. But the only practical way for us to get to Race Point is by bicycle and my doc doesn't want me on a bicycle until my placenta moves away from my cervix. Instead we will walk across the rocks (an hour trip from one massive rock to another) to the beach by the lighthouse.  It tends to be less of a scene.

Yes, I get that!  Be careful on the rocks.  They aren't slippery, are they?

No real plans yet. We may go camping or down to Denver to go boating with friends. DH might just work too since we were gone all of last week through this Monday and we leave again next Thursday for 10 days.

I'm going to Vegas for a bachelorette party with 10 of my girlfriends. We're staying at the Luxor, leaving tomorrow and coming home Tuesday. Partaaayyy!

My best-friend is in town from Texas starting tonight!!!!!! Saturday we are going out on the lake with her family while the inlaws watch the baby and we will probably stop by my aunts cottage at some point and probably my parents house at some point.. Both of our parents live on lakes and we are only 10 and 20 minutes respectively from our hometowns so a bunch of friends will be around for the holiday and out on the lake.. which is where we met.. 8 years ago on the 4th of July!
