It was wrong for #1, but we had to do some fertility treatments and and IUI so that could be why. We will see for #2, no fertility treatments this time around.

HUH? You don't honestly think that has anything to do with WHY a random chart filled in with B's and G's, that is different on every site you pull up, didn't accurately predict the sex of your last child, right?
To the OP, all of the charts have been wrong for me, except the one on babycenter.com. All were boy, and she's definitely a girl!

No matter how you look at it, it will roughly be 50% right. Logically, do you think 19 year old women can only concieve one gender 11 months out of the year?
I don't understand what a womans age has to do with something that is decided on by the males sperm. Do his sperm say 'Oh, her lunar age is 20 and it's the month of May, half of you stay back!'

Think you misread her post there. I didn't read anywhere in her post where she did fertility treatments to have a specific sex.

I read her response differently, as she is saying IUI and fertility treatments would not make the gender chart wrong, because the charts are only 50% right anyways and can't be relied on.

Um, I didn't say that she did fertility treatments to have a specific sex. The post said, paraphrasing, that the chart was wrong for her first child, but they did fertility treatments and that could be why it was wrong. My point was surely no one actually believes this stupid thing is actually right, so whether you did fertility treatments wouldn't matter at all. She made it sound like, "well, it might've been right if we had conceived under 'natural' conditions, but since we used treatments, maybe that's what threw it off."
This is a stupid chart filled in with random B's and G's. I could make my own chart of random B's and G's and come up with the same "accuracy" as this one. I guess it's fun to look at for a nanosecond, but it kills me that people actually think there might be something to it. I'm all for "fun" but please use your heads. It's like people who take the Intelligender test and then ask everyone if it's correct for them. The only reason you would do that is to see for yourself if it's accurate, even though it's scientifically impossible to tell the sex of an unborn child through the mother's urine. Intelligender has honestly come up with the best scam on the market. $30-$40 bucks for something that CANNOT possibly work, and yet people still buy it! Those folks are geniuses.

I am fully aware that the chart is a guess in its own right. But last time it predicted a girl and I know that by doing an IUI it is actually more likely that you will have a boy, which we did. It is supposed to be all in fun and games. Please don't think I put a ton of stock in what a gender chart tells me. We are Team Green and in 4 months we will see if the "guess" of the gender chart was right or wrong on baby #2.

Wow, had no idea that my response would garner such attention. Guess I shouldn't answer posts while dealing with insomnia. The charts are fun, but besides amnio, the only 100% way to know the sex - GIVE BIRTH!. That is how we found out with baby #1 (our DS) and that is how we will find out with baby#2.
WRONG for me -- my chart predicted boy, but we're having a girl. All the old wive's tales came true though - I had epically terrible m/s, I am covered in the worst outbreak of acne ever, and I feel like pregnancy has made me look blegh. Must be my little gal stealing all my beauty
Mom to E, 11/2011 - Severe egg & dairy allergies, soy intolerance *** Stepmom to G, 2001
All charts were right for me! Even after doing the "complex math" of determining Lunar age...they still all said boy! And unltra sound said boy too! Guess we'll only know for sure when he comes out but so far it was right for us ( we also did intelligender for fun and it said boy too)

Well that's not how I read her post at all. I was under the impression that some fertility treatments actually have a higher rate for boys (someone can correct me if I'm wrong), so I thought that's where she was going with her statement. I thought your response to her was a bit much, but whatever. I don't believe the whole chinese gender chart stuff.

It was right for me... I am having a little girl (blood test at 11 weeks).
BTW, I have learned - I dunno whether this is a load of BS, could be - that it is not solely the man's sperm that determines whether you will conceive a baby boy or a baby girl. I mean, yes, it is the man's spermatozoids that can either carry an X or a Y chromossome (whereas our eggs - are they called eggs in English? I really don't know and feel too lazy to go luck, sorry - always carry X chromossomes), but the fact is that X spermatozoids are way bigger (about 3 times, if I am not mistaken) and heavier than Y spermatozoids, but they are also more resistant, which means that the conditions in the woman's uterus (i.e. ph, temperature, presence of spermicide or chemicals etc.) may influence who gets to her "egg" first. And just as the moon cycle affects our cycles, well, there could be a possibility of it kinda somehow eventually affecting our womb conditions. I am not saying that I believe it would, or that it is a scientifically proven thing, though. Just that it is an entertaining thought...
