skippy

Hi,

I just saw that you pinned some scrapbooking pages. Do you still do it? I like to do it but I just can't find the time anymore. I have two books for E and C's is started. I got as far as his ultrasound pics!!!   I need the motivation just to get myself caught up and then I am thinking of doing digital or project life or just something that will be easier. Any tips for when you do it?

Re: skippy

  • Hey! I do scrapbook (sort of) for the kids. I'm extremely behind on both of their stuff though. I get together with a few friends (marce921 is one of them) monthly and that's usually when I get stuff done. I rarely get any of my stuff out on my own, but since we moved, I have a craft room and that makes it easier. I think doing digital books would be so much easier because I could just do them while watching tv. I think it would be pretty easy to get caught up doing digital pages and then do a mix of digital/regular pages.
  • Ok you made me feel better : )

I really want to get those two done for C and then I am open to something new.  I love the look of the traditional ones but at the same time I think the digital would be easier time-wise. Have you seen the blog Sunny Side Up? She does Project Life but she will also put in traditional pages when she has the time to do it.  I always have other craft things that I find that I want to do and the scrapbooking never makes it on the list. Funny part is I love pictures!!!

  • Same with me! I like the traditional look better, but realistically, I should switch to digital because I'll never be caught up. I do like the idea of mixing the two together. I haven't seen that blog before, I'll have to check it out. I'm the same way with finding other crafts I want to do and the scraping kind gets tossed aside. Having the monthly social/scrapbooking night definately helps though. If you have an Archiver's near you, they have a room you can use on certain nights. We've done that a few times and I feel like I get a lot done because they have samples and you can just buy any supplies you need (also dangerous!). *Sorry about the lack of paragraphs, I'm on my phone.
  • I think the digital has come a long way though so it may worth it.

I know of one person who does it and she became a consultant.  (I also noticed she was doing digital!!)  I really should do a get-together of some sort or something like that and then I know I will get it done.

(and this goes to show you, right now I am working on a wreath I saw here:  https://www.scissorsandspatulas.com/2011/05/decorating-for-summer-front-door-wreath.html)

Have a good rest of the night : )
