Iphone help please!

I am trying to figure out how to post on my iphone, I just got it. I saw a post where it said to disable the java in safari.  I have done that and I normally use the Google app. When I do it does not give me a key board to type.....any suggestions, or does everyone post from Safari? Thanks.
