NIFVR: ? about FB privacy settings

An old friend found me on FB last night and sent me a message.  ::rolls eyes::

Her and I were really good friends from 7th grade - to after college, she was going to be my MOH, after I asked her....short version - she went psycho, I kicked her out of the wedding 9 months before the day and I haven't talked to her since.  That was 4.5 years ago.

I honestly don't want to have anything to do with her, as she is a DRAMA QUEEN...but I feel so bad for ignoring her.

My biggest thing right now, is she find me on FB????  I swear I have all my privacy setting to "Friends Only".  Does anyone know FB privacy settings well and could walk me through them?

I think the "friends only" privacy setting only applies to what you post. Only friends can see that.

People can still search you by name and request you as a friend. I don't know how to turn that off.

I am actually friends on FB with a lot of people that I can't stand, and it's acutally quite entertaining sometimes...

I am still friends on FB with the BM from hell from my cousin's wedding even though I totally hate her.  While she was PG, I blocked her so I didn't have to see her posting pics and grubbing for attention.

It's your call, but as long as she doesn't drag you into any of her drama, it might not be so bad to friend her.

To block someone from seeing you, you have to find them on FB and add them to your blocked list. It needs to be done with each individual you want to block. I don't know if it blocks them from seeing you are on FB but you won't get friend requests from them.

I have blocked lots of people. BUT if they have a friend they can still look you up. So if you really care you have to block a group. Like I didn't want my coworker to see me, so I blocked her, her husband, and her sisters. Not that we were friends, but She and I have some mutual people and I didn't want my comments to show up on things that she would see.

My friend blocked a girl from high school, but not her brother, so the girl could see she was on FB and sent her an email through his page that she couldn't find her. Talk about creepy, but really it was after her mom had died and the other girl wanted to tell her how sorry she was. So she unblocked her and just used I'm a teacher excuse so I had my settings weird.
