Ok - we are down to just abot 2 months to potty train DS - otherwise he is not allowed to start preschool in the fall. DD was SO easy. DS will be 3 in Aug. Please share your tricks/tips for teaching boys!
*Edited* I guess I should add...we have 2 training toilets that we leave sitting out (one upstairs, one down). We have told him he can have 1 M&M each time he does something in the potty. He tells us when he needs a diaper change. I'm sure part of the challenge is that I haven't made this too much of a priority as we've had lots of traveling lately, but with a long holiday weekend coming up, I thought it would be good timing.
Re: Potty Training DS - need tips/tricks
completely skip pull ups. Put him in underwear or go commando. If he looks like he has to pee, don't ask him, tell him, "You need to pee pee." If he makes even a drop of pee i nthe toilet, give him the treat. Can DH pee with him? Show him how to stand and hold the penis?
We have a toilet seat that's a kiddie seat recessed in the lid of a regular toilet.
My DS still will not poop on the toilet and he's been trained since Jan.
