When I try to get information on how to size them on the Inspired by Finn site, it brings me to error pages. So what is a good size for an 8 month baby? Also, do you leave your baby's on at night or for naps?Thanks!

12.5-13.5 in. It should be short enough that they can't fit it into their mouths. I took a measuring tape and hung it around DD's neck to estimate the perfect length.

ETA: Yes, we leave it on her at all times except for baths.

Ours is 11.5-12.5 and still has plenty of room.  You could take a string, drape it around LO's neck and measure that way.

I'm slightly paranoid, so I take his off when he sleeps.  Some people wrap it around the ankle (under a sock) for naps/night.

Mine came with instructions for wearing and washing and said to take it off when they sleep.  So I do.
