Newbie - Wanted to say Hello

 I have been lurking for a few weeks now and decided to start talking. You ladies seem wonderful

 A little about my self:

Been with DH for 6 years, married since 5/21/11

We are ready to start TTC!!!

DH is going to be 40 in July and we need to get the ball rolling.

Hi and Welcome. 

If you haven't been, go to FertilityFriend.com and read the tutorials. The site is free and well worth it. A lot of ladies here use it to chart their BBT and CM. You can pick up a BBT at Target or Amazon for about $9.

If you'd like more info on how your body works, pick up a copy of TCOYF (google it) at B&N, Borders or Amazon.  

If you're not taking prenatal vitamins yet, start now. Any kind will do, you don't need a Rx. I use Target brand, but anything with over 800 mcg of Folic acid is key - the time to take them is prior to conception, not after you get a BFP.  

If you haven't been to the Dr's or the Dentist, do that now. Get your teeth, your health and your finances a check-up - make sure insurance is in order, and that you have an idea of what your plan is for spending and saving when it comes to TTC and babies.

Hi Trisha and welcome!  The ladies on the board are a wonderful, supportive, well-informed and, above all, brave group.  My DH and I are in our mid 40's and have just started TTC.  Feel free to ask questions and lean on us whenever you need it. I hope your stay on the board is a sweet and short one!
