My kid is OBSESSED with marriage.

Seriously.  In the pedi's' office yesterday he was asking the doc, "are you married?  who did you marry?  what's her name?"  It's hysterical.  "Who am I going to marry, mommeh?  Can I marry you?"

OMG--so is my 4.5yr old! He said to me tonight,"Mom, I'm going to get married and have 2 brides!" He is in love w the twin girls from his pre-k class! Lol. Where he gets this stuff, who knows?! Glad he isn't the only one. ?

M has been on a marriage kick for nearly two years. I am SO over it. It was cute when she was 3ish...now, not so much.

Michelle asked me once if she could married "michael"  I said sure when you get older but why do you wanna marry michael" 

she said "Michael wants me to sleepover and we need to get married before I can sleepover Michael's house"  She said this with such a serious face lol

Dd puts on a fancy dress, starts humming the wedding march, and walks down the aisle (ahem, hallway) at least once a day. She makes dh stand at the end of the hallway and she marries him, complete with the "I do," kiss, and first dance. I'm not sure if it's more cute or creepy to see her repeatedly "marry" her daddy, LOL.

For the past year, my 5 year old has been saying she is going to marry dh and then they will have a baby boy who I can marry and then we'll all live together in the same house forever and ever.

DD is the same way. ALL she talks about is getting married, having babies, etc. I seriously cant' stand it! She did say that she could *never* love a man with a beard. Some show was on the other night w/ a couple and the man had a beard. She goes, "mom, why does she love him, he has a beard." Dead. And yes, she is planning on marrying every boy she's ever met. And DH, of course.

I just hmmm when she starts in on marriage. I was never into playing family. I'll ask what she played at DC, "oh, me and jane and susan played mom, dad, and baby. I was the mom." Like, all.the.time.

my 5y/o equates marriage with sex.  not that she understands what sex is or knows the term... but she says,

"mommy, did you and daddy get married 2 times? "  

no dear, just the once.

 "so {DS} and me were in your belly together!?!"  

uhhhh... no.

"momma, you could get married lots of times and have lots of babies!"  :::smiles:::    

uhhhh... mommy is married to daddy.... and no more babies.  

"hmmph."  

You could have babies one day.  

"uh, no! that would give me a headache!"  (that's her other big thing... everything that she's not interested in or doesn't care for  would give her a headache)

ds is obsessed with girlfriends and marriage too.  He has 2 girlfriends and has proposed to a third girl at daycare so far.  The other moms give me the side eye when I pick the kids up

LOL!  I've tried telling her I'm already married to Daddy, but she insists she's going to marry him because he's the "handsomest man in the world".  I've decided to just nod whenever she brings it up...

Yep DD is obsessed too. She even told us she was going to marry jesus, she goes to a christian preschool so jesus and god are common topics for her. Also when the royal wedding was going on she wanted to marry Prince harry,
