I actually quite like the name. And it's not even Elton John's real name, although it's what he's known by.

I like the suggestion of Alton, though you will likely be asked if he's named after the Food Network star.

Believe it or not, the movie Clueless was loosely based on a Jane Austen novel and the character in the book was named Elton.  It's an English name and I think it's pretty cool.
