and I don't know the answer. Hopefully you ladies can help us out!
I mentioned I was thinking of getting a snap cover or two now that J. can take off his aplix covers. And DH then questioned, "Won't he just learn to take them off? When do kids learn that anyway?"
Any insight ladies? Do any of you have kids who can undo snap diapers? If so, how old were they when they learned to do so?
Thanks!
Re: DH asked a question about CDs...
DD is just shy of 16 months and figured out how to take off her snap diapers a week or 2 ago. She hooks her thumbs in between the snaps and yanks. But her motor skills are pretty impressive (to the detriment of her verbal skills).
Fortunately she can be distracted from doing so most days, or I put something (onesie, bloomers, shorts) over the diaper.

dd is 25mos and she doesn't mess with her snaps
but she will pull of the aplix. she only pulls off her aplix when they would start to come apart or roll off though, and generally doesn't mess with them
she just doesn't have any interest in taking off her diaper... which is why i can't get her to potty train yet... SIGH...
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
I just made a video about the comparison between velcro and snaps! Near the end we discuss the toddler factor and taking off their diapers. Youtube.com/ObbsAndLala if you wanted to check it out.
I know Liam has a lot of interest in playing with the velcro (he is almost a year) but hasn't fully taken one off yet.
