Day Out With Thomas?

Anyone do this? It is coming to our area this weekend, and we are considering it. It is boring?

Thanks!

Re: Day Out With Thomas?

  • My boys loved it and we'll be taking them again this year. It was a lot of fun for them and there were a lot of activities for them to do. I didn't think it was boring at all.
    Mommy to three adorable boys!
  • L loved it, and we didn't even stay that long.  :)

  • We went when L was 3 and the girls were 2.  They loved it.

It was at Tweetsie Railroad which is a wild west theme park (small) that has a 3mile train ride anyways.  They hook Thomas up to the front of that train.  Then we rode all of the other rides they had in the park.  It was a really fun day.

ETA: It was in Blowing Rock NC.

Best one is Strasburg RR's. They have the "real" Thomas from the movie. Plus they have the PA RR Museum across the street.

I've heard that, but we missed it for the summer, doesn't return until Sept and we already have plans for that weekend.

We are looking at the Delaware River RR, know anything about that one?

  • We went and loved it too, we missed it last year so hoping to catch it again this year, DD was 3 when we went and it was a great age, DS was too young to remember. Have fun, and I agree buy your tickets ahead.
  • My kids went 2 years and loved it.  We went with the 1st year and my ILs took them last year.  They loved the train ride and all the other stuff that is around for them to do.  We are skipping it this year as its a few hours away and we don't feel like its worth the drive for a 3rd year.

  • We went last year and DS keeps asking when we are going to see Thomas again.  So no, not boring at all :)
