Since you wanted to go all "snark" on me about my comment regarding your misinformation about implantation days, I thought I'd share this with you:
Based on a study published in 1999 implantation happens on average
9.1 days after ovulation with a range of 6-12 days.
The egg becomes fertilized with a sperm within 12 hours after ovulation, usually in the outer portion of the fallopian tube. It then travels down the fallopian tube, increasing its size along the way. In the fallopian tube it becomes the zygote and doubles to two cells, four cells, then eight cells and becomes the "morula."
As the morula enters the uterine cavity it's called a "blastocyst." Implantation happens when the fertilized egg (blastocyst) attaches to the uterine wall and starts producing the pregnancy hormone hCG.
Based on a study published in 1999 implantation happens on average 9.1 days after ovulation with a range of 6-12 days. In 84% of pregnancies implantation happened between days 8 and 10 after ovulation.
There was an increase of miscarriages when implantation happened later. The rate of early pregnancy loss was 13% when implantation happened by day 9, it rose to 26% with implantation on day 10 after ovulation, it rose to 52% if implantation was on day 11 after ovulation, and to 82% if implantation was later than 11 days after ovulation.
Literature: Time of Implantation of the Conceptus and Loss of Pregnancy; Allen J. Wilcox, M.D. et.al. NEJM Volume 340:1796-1799
And also...
"If conception occurred, implantation (when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall) typically happens seven to ten days after ovulation, but it can happen a few days earlier or later as well." - from FF
And one more thing...
Are you ever going to come back and answer our question regarding your three year sex marathon? Just curious. Thanks.
Re: **SandandSurf**
S&S also bothers me. I think a lot of people feel that way.
And I'm sad that she changed her 80s hooker avatar pic.

ETA: Although, I must admit I'm curious about S&S's response with regard to the the three year sex-a-thon.

Baby Sweets born on her due date!
That wasn't even the best part of that response though. Her defense was that she wasn't disagreeing you when you said 7-10 days and was in fact also right b/c when she said "usually 6-7 DPO" for implantation, what she really meant was "6-7 DPO ON AVERAGE".
Because clearly the average of 7,8,9 and 10 is 6 or 7. I mean, that's just MATH.
Also? HTH is she getting her information about 6-7 days dpo FROM HER OB/GYN when she famously won't go see her doctor to say she's been having unprotected sex every damn day for 36 months* and charting for seven of them with no baby to show for it???
I'm starting to smell a troll.
* Also? OUCH.
[edited: i forgot part of that sentence. and point taken other posters saying to just ignore . . . but once someone else brought it up i couldn't restrain myself.]
Ouch. Well, I'm not sure I agree with you. Yes, if someone is personally attacking me I will disagree back. I kind of think message boards are for that to a point, the back and forth of disenting opinions.
That being said, with this particular poster she was giving misinformation. I can't get her profile up for some reason to PM her, so I thought I'd share with her where I got my info and that I'm not a tool spouting off nonsense. Also, the last part I'm just genuinely curious if she is going to come back. That wasn't intended as a "dig", I just wanted to her hear her response.
Also, half this board is sick of it being P&R and half get mad when people snark, so nobody can win 'em all the time!
But now that I'm responding to this.,..does that mean I'm getting the last word!?!
No harm done Shay, I appreciate your honesty.
It might have been better received (although I'm not sure) if you put the info in the post you are referring to.. instead of making a whole new post for it, and then combating her "snark" with your own "semi-snarky" question about her sexathon.
I'm all for snark, but sometimes you just gotta let the trolls snort in the corner alone.
The post was so buried I thought she wouldn't read it again. She doesn't usually come back to posts often.
Agreed with the blod. Point taken. Although I'm not sure shes a troll yet.
It also just bugs me when people are telling others info that's wrong. If not for anything else, this board is for info. We may as well tell the right info!
I do agree that Sheena sometimes likes to feed the trolls. This time, though, I'm glad someone called S&S out. I can't believe it didn't happen sooner.
I also missed the original post.....linky?
7/30/12 - B/G twins born at 33w4d due to PPROM
I'm just going to throw out an honest question here: Does everyone REALLY hate trolls, or sometimes isn't it fun to just get some "spice" going on the board. If I'm alone in this I will be ok, I'm just curious. Wouldn't the board be so much more boring if there were no AEs or trolls around? And I'm not taking about the awful ones who really pick on peoples appearence or character, but heck, some are fun to play around with! ::cringes and waits for flames::

Huh, I guess I didn't think that THIS post was that snarky lol. Guess I was wrong! But anyway, the info is interesting nonetheless.
I'm sorry if I rub some of you the wrong way. Not really sure why, but frankly i don't care. I'm happy in my skin and I hope you can be, too.
I'll answer your BD marathon question:
We waited till we were married. I feel very sorry for you if you and your DH didn't BD nearly every day for the first 3 years of your sexual relationship...
Eek. Sorry ladies, I'm really not trying to fuel the fire here I swear. I just think that for those people who don't have high libidos, maybe have some sort of medical issue, etc this is pretty offensive.
I'll be honest, no we didn't have sex everyday for the first 3 years of our relationship, probably the first 6 months but after that...nope. It worked for us!
ETA: I also think the question was more about why you are hesitating to see your dr. if you have been having sex every day for that long without a BFP...no so much about WHY you are having so much sex.
'Scuse me?? To have a healthy sexual relationship you don't need to have sex everyday. Congrats if it works for you but it doesn't and won't for everyone.
I do think that a lot of the MUD posts are amusing (like....omg i think I am pregolant b/c I felt butterflies in my ute!) because its fun to look at the PIPs/ridiculousness that everyone posts. It is fun. But the vicious/psycho trolls (i won't mention any names in case their Spidey senses start tingling) who personally attack other people will not stop--and responding to them (espec more than once) just fuels them. That is all.
I'm not trying to give you a hard time, Sheena. You make your opinions known, and you don't back down even when people give you ***--I admire that.
ETA: I can't say sh!t? Stupid bump.
Oh I feel exactly the same way Husky! I getcha.
And your tiger still makes me smile every time I see it!
Do you feel sorry for our future children as well?
OMG FFS it's SEX.
Shhh...thats a no-no-lady-part-man-bits word. We have delicate sensibilities around these here parts.
::clutches pearls::
MY VIRGIN EARS!!!!
Awww, how sweet. We waited until we got married too! We just had 5 years of rehearsal SEX for our wedding night, and it was awesome, even though it wasn't nearly every day for that entire time. Also, you know what you can feel sorry for? My vag. Our last cycle TTC we had SEX every day for FIVE DAYS. My vag was so sore it felt like it was going to literally fall off. Poor thing!
Tell me SNS, is it like playing guitar? Does "nearly every day SEX" build up calluses so eventually that type of soreness subsides thus allowing that kind of ridiculous pace for THREE YEARS?
Yeah, don't think anyone needs your pity, thx.
Not gonna lie. I tend to agree with this.
