Trying out new sitters

Our favorite/regular sitter is going away to college in August so DH and I decided to test out new sitters to find a replacement. We have to have our monthly dates otherwise I would go INSANE.

So Friday night we tried out a girl who works at our local My Gym, DD already knew her from classes before so I think that really helped out. We had her come at 6 so she could play with DD while DH and I got dressed to go out. While I got ready, DH showed the sitter all the important stuff and went over DD's night time routine (bath, books, bed).

We left at 6:30 while DD was finishing up her dinner and got a text from the sitter at 8 saying that she was fast asleep. Gotta love those texts!!! DH and I had a fabulous (and stress-free) night out!

We will be trying out a different sitter (it's good to have a spare) next week and hopefully have great results again.

Does anyone have sitter(s) they love? Do you go out often?

We have 2 regular sitters, and by regular I mean all.the.time. Most of the time they are used during the day for things like doctor appointments and my appointments at the gym (they don't correspond with being able to bring the boys to their daycare). We go out on a fairly regular basis at night (1-2x/month). We are moving to a new state in the fall and I am going to miss them...and hate having to find new people I trust!
