We stopped using them once it got warm out - Will HATES to be hot. That said, we may revert briefly in the fall and winter because I think they do a better job of keeping his tummy and back covered/warm.
I hate dealing with onesies so I ditched them early with both kids (probably 7 or 8 months old). Once the weather turned warm enough, I quit using them all together. I love being able to feel their skin under their shirts!
I still have a couple left in Hadley's drawer just in case.

I bought a pack of 24 month long sleeve that he may wear this summer, with his sleep sack, for bed. But, otherwise, now that he is nearly two, he won't likely wear a onesie under real clothes. For your LO, I'd think you still have another year or so.

Are you talking about ones with phrases/decorations on them instead of wearing a t-shirt? If so, we still have Colin wear them every now and then. He is pretty much wearing all t-shirts now, but we have bought a few cute onesies that I couldn't pass up at Gymboree. I think we are at the tail end of onesies though.
If you're talking just to wear as an undershirt, we don't do that (way too hot here now and we didn't go out a ton in the winter since he was still little).

Like 3 months ago when he started throwing temper tantrums during diaper, clothing, pj changes.. 2 piece out fits are just so much easier for me..and I don't have to hold him down to change him. I did by a few onesies from the gap but I hav't put them him in them yet.
Hmmm....I never put them under shirts?!? Am I supposed to?!
We are about 50 - 50% with onesies vs. shirts now, and actually I like the onsies better. The dang shirts just keep riding up as he rolls and crawls around. I swear, at his birthday party there are practically NO pictures that don't show his big, round buddah belly b/c the shirt kept riding up! I guess it will get better once he begins walking, but we are months from that.
I'll be in the "wear em until the wedding camp" I guess! (I do agree with OS in that A looks like such a boy in regular tshirts!)

DS just stopped wearing 24 mo onesies from carters (DS is on the skinny side). I wish they made them bigger, cause I feel like it holds his diapers in place at night. In the winter, he will wear an undershirt type thing under his clothes now
Severe MFI resulting in IVF/ICSI #1 in Nov 2007. BFP!! Our beautiful son was born July 2008.
2010: 2 IVF's,1 FET = 2 BFN's, 1 c/p Feb 2011-Unmedicated FET= BFP!! DS #2 born Oct 2011!!.
I plan to use them through next winter if I can find some that fit.
I don't put them on her in warm weather (unless she's wearing it as an "outfit" while we're just hanging out at home), but it gets really cold here in winter and I don't like her back and belly to be exposed every time she gets picked up. Once she's walking everywhere we'll just do a regular undershirt when she needs and extra layer.
I asked this a while back - it seems like there are two camps, onesies until their wedding date vs. I couldn't get rid of the onesies fast enough.
I still can't get over how much of a "boy" they look with just a t shirt. So for that reason alone, most days they still get a onesie.
OK this is hilarious and SO TRUE!! I was in the "onesies until their wedding date" camp - I loved them and we used them through 2T and that's about as big as they go. I miss onesies.
Wheee!

Until they out grow them size wise or potty traning! I don't use them under clothes in the warm months but my kids do sleep in them on warm nights we don't use the a/c!

We rarely use them now, because diaper & clothing changes are wrestling matches. If I put them in anything with snaps I usually have to try to snap them while they're crawling away. I may go back to them in cold weather for layering purposes though.

Re: Onsies: When did you ditch 'em?
I bought 24m onesies and still used them this past winter when we were going outside or I felt like the shirt needed an undershirt.
I think we're done with them now. I wouldn't have him wear them under clothes in the summer and I think he'll be too big for them this winter.

4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
At birth. As soon as Kira was born, we cut all of her onesies at the waist. Elena never had any.
I'm so unhelpful.
