Seeing but not feeling movement sometimes?

Sorry for the newbie question! I thought I was crazy but I was watching my belly today and one of the girls was kicking away... I could see my belly moving but didnt really feel anything. I even could feel her kick if I put my hand on my belly... just didnt feel it myself "internally" if thats the right word.

I have had this feeling too. If I put my hand on my belly, I can feel it, but I cant feel it from the inside.

I assume it is because of where she is kicking.  You cant feel your stomach on the inside, for example. 

And, isnt it amazing when you see your belly move? I was so glad to include my husband in that.

Is it the kicks way up high that you don't feel?  Those are the ones I don't feel as much.  When I was at the hospital Saturday for my unexpected NST I was amazed at how much they were moving that I still can't feel!!  But we could hear them kicking the monitors!  haha
