Cloth Diapering

I heard the dreaded sound of velcro this morning

::face palm::

At least the poop in the diaper, stayed in the diaper.

No more velcro without pants.

  • Oh no! Glad it didn't result in a mess!

  • Yep thats about the age Lily started taking hers off.  Now its immediate if there are no pants.  She rips them right off and pees in the hall :/

    He he he.  Tahnks for the chuckle!  I have cleaned up pee more than once from a velcro diaper taken off by DD but it has always been in her crib.  This seems so intentional and malicious and yet she looks so sweet!  I am sure this is my future!

    History of IF and 2.5 years TTC. The day we were to start our first IUI we received a call that changed our lives forever and 10 month old Olivia joined our family. Shortly thereafter we got a surprise BFP and baby 2 is due July 5, 2012

  • I'm askeered of this day :/  At least it sounds like cleanup was minimal.

  • That's why we are a no velcro household, lol.  I am glad it wasn't worse for you.

  • So funny!!  I think Jude is the only toddler in the world that has no interest in the velcro.  He had a BG AIO on with no pants yesterday evening and didn't even glance at the velcro.  He's way to busy with matchbox cars and baseballs these days I think.

  • Our DDs are close in age, and DD just started this recently. I was thinking I was going to have longer before she started this!

  • I know this is our future.  DD loves to rip off little toys from her PNP mobile just to hear the velcro.  Once she gets one off, she drops it and immediate starts on the rest.  It's only a matter of time....

  • DD has just started undoing her dipes under her clothes if they are the old BGs with the crappy velcro.  DH hates snaps but it looks like we are headed in that direction full time.

  • Adam will undo one side while looking at you with a devilish grin, and then pitch a fit b/c he is uncomfortable with the diaper half-on and half-off.  Oh, and he does it with both velcro and snaps -- it is harder for him to pull open the snaps, but he can still do it.

  • At 5am my DS undid the velcro on his BG AIO WITH PANTS ON. I heard him do it, and was like, "oh heck no!" I fastened it and laid him down on his tummy after that so he'd leave the darn thing alone!

  • Yeah, you snap-users, don't think you're safe... DS can remove snaps, no problem at all.

    DD once got herself out of a Goodmama (6 snaps total), under a cover, put on BACKWARDS (in an obviously futile attempt to make it difficult to remove)

    That's part of the reason why I don't care about velcro vs. snaps. Both kids did learn to undo velcro first, but snaps weren't far behind.
