My daughter was in CDs until 16w when she went into a full body cast and we had to use disposables for the duration of that. We were supposed to use a pull
Up on the outside of tue cast, but since the only function of that diaper was to help secure the inside diaper, we decided that was an absolute waste, and used our OS pockets shells as the outside diaper. The only problem with that is that the pocket shells have been getting washed wIth her regular clothing, which although is usually in CD safe detergent, occasionally is in one of the free/clears (tide or all, whichever was on sale) and Ecover fabric softener.
question 1) do I have to strip the shells before I can use them
With her CDs again?
question 2) Anna is usually in BG4.0 OS pockets or some
FB sized/OS. we're considering PFs/covers again (now that she's coming out of her cast and won't n?ed a brace during the day. We loved them
Before this nonsense started). What brand does every one like and what covers for a bigger baby? I loved prowraps and bummis superbrtes, but she's about 15-16lbs now. That ship has sailed.
question 3) BG recommends bleaching inserts once a month. I was going to take advantage of the time before her Cast comes off to do that. Has anyone ever and if so, how much bleach and what is your wash routine for that?
thanks ladies!

Re: A few questions
I had a pocket shell delaminate after using ecover. I only use it with inserts and fitteds. If yours are okay, I'd strip them (and bleach them if you want, though I never have) and go from there. I'd think they'd be fine!
GL! I hope Anna is doing well & will enjoy her new-found freedom!

Agreed with pp that you're not supposed to use Ecover with PUL or other laminates. If they still look OK then I wouldn't worry about it too much, but I also would stop using it with them (you can always pull the PUL items out and do a last rinse with Ecover).
Re BG and bleach, here's their official website: https://www.bumgenius.com/help.php
If you look under #8 there are directions for using bleach with the diapers.

Delamination is the waterproof bubbling up off of the PUL.
