Hello!
My husband and I have been married for 9 months now and we are getting baby fever! We have a 2nd honeymoon planned in August so we will be TTC afterwards. My only concern is that I'm scheduled to have my period during our vacation (no fun) so I'm planning on taking birth control for the 3 days that we will be on our cruise. I don't think it will have much of an affect on ovulation because it won't be in my system very long, or maybe it will have the opposite affect and we'll get twins!

If your still on the pill now then work with your pills to try not to have your period while on the cruise. If your off the pill then DON'T take any of the pills for cruise. It might not affect your ovulation or it could completely screw it up. A few icky days on the cruise with your period is better then screwing up your entire cycle and having to wait longer to get pregnant.

Do you have any idea the kind of complication that results from a multiples pregnancy? The risk of PTL, m/c, NICU time, Cerebral Palsy? Plus the health risks of potential bed rest. How about hoping for a healthy pregnancy? I guess that isn't cute enough though.
And messing around with your BC can potentially increase your chances of hyper-ovulation. It can also increase your chances of being anovulatory for at least one cycle, if not two. Probably not the best advice.
WELCOME!!! I am just starting TTC and so far I can say it?s fun and crazy! Going through my first official two week wait and its driving me crazy! One thing I would recommend it start tracking your temps, and fluids and such. People here use fertility friend but I am stuck with an app I am addicted too and haven't gotten into FF. either one I'd start now because It is hard getting used too. It?s adding a whole new routine to your already crazy life! Anyways GOOD LUCK!!
