Temping time of day

Assuming that you temp at the same time every day does it matter if it's morning. afternoon or night?

Re: Temping time of day

  • Temping must be done first thing when you wake up ...before you get out of bed. At the same time everyday or as close to it as you can. Hit the alarm and temp! :)

  • you CANNOT temp at any other time of day other than after 3 hours of uninterupted sleep.

Some people set mid-sleep alarms to temp while others temp first thing when you wake up, but it must be at the same time every morning. For me, I temp at 7 am every morning.

The reason for this is that you are trying to measure you basal body temperature which is your body's resting temperature. If you temp any other time your body is not at rest and other factors play into your temperature.

Have you done the tutuorials on FF? I think these might be helpful to you as well.

  • You need to be temping your basal body temperature - meaning your waking temperature before you even get out of bed.
