Sausage ?

Generally speaking, us it MSPI safe? I checked the ingredients on Bob Evans rolls of sausage and I thought I was good but a lot of online resources say no. Thoughts?

We give our LO Applegate Farms sausage links. They only have a few ingredients and aren't cooked in oils. I wouldn't feel safe with all of the ingredients in Bob Evans sausage.

  • we do applegate farms and boar's head. I've heard that Hormel is safe- but we haven't tried it. My rule of thumb- if I can't pronounce what's on the label- I don't serve it unless I've contacted the company to verify it's safe.  Bob Evans probably isn't- but there should be a number on the package so you can call and check.  The FAAN website has an awesome list of ingredients to look for that indicate hidden sources of the top 8 allergens.

  • I also feed my LO applegate. and on occasion tyson dinosaur chicken nuggets (milk, soy, egg free)
