I recently took off the one side of Bella's crib since she started climbing out. As excited as she was for her "big girl bed," now she won't sleep in it and I find her sleeping on the floor.
Is she moving to the floor or rolling out onto the floor? We had Owen in the toddler bed without a side rail for about 1 1/2 weeks because the one we bought was missing parts. We lined the floor with pillows and he would roll off and stay asleep there. Once we got the side rail, he slept in his bed again just fine.
You can buy a little rail for about $30 from diapers.com and one step ahead for toddler beds. Good luck!
Kate sometimes still prefers to sleep on the floor. I think as long as she isn't falling out and there isn't a chance she could get hurt, etc., it would be OK.
