I received my Ovidrel shot yesterday at about 7:30 a.m. The doctor said that I would most likely ovulate on Saturday. She said to have sex last night and then Saturday to cover our bases. This morning, my temperature flew up so high and it's making me believe that I ovulated yesterday.
Can anyone please share their experiences for when they ovulated after their Ovidrel shot? Also, is it possible for the Ovidrel shot to make my temperature rise without ovulating yet?
Thank you so much.. I'm just so confused today. Thank goodness we had sex yesterday just in case I did ovulate that quickly!
Re: Ovidrel Trigger Shot
I believe the shot can effect your temp as you are adding hormones into your body with that shot. There was a study that showed over 90% of people ovulated between 36 and 72 hours with the shot, so chances are you will fall in that window as well. So be sure to follow the Drs thinking about when to have sex. Some people do ovulate earlier, but it is better to be safe then sorry.
Good Luck!

Hi. We do Follistim + Ovidrel+ TI. We Bd on the night of the trigger and the following two nights and it worked both times (we lost both pregnancies though).
I read the info in the packet that comes with the Ovidrel, and it says you ovulate 24 - 36 hours after the shot. THerefore, if you got the shot on Thurs morning, you would ovulate any time between Friday morning to Friday night.
Therefore, BDing on Thurs night would have been pre-O (sperm waiting there for egg to arrive) and by doing it Saturday, you cover your base since egg lasts 24 hours.
