Constipation?

He has had issues with constipation for most of his life.  If it matters, he has always been a picky eater.  I EBF until 7 months, and then he was on formula/purees.

The pedi tells us to give him juice, prunes, etc.  We do and it doesn't seem to help.  The constipation comes and goes.  His diet is consistent because it is pretty limited.

Do you think it could be an allergy? 

ETA He is 20 months if that matters.

IMO i don't think that's an allergy.. if it was super duper runny than maybe. Have you ever seen blood in his stool?

Try limiting his meat and fiber and dairy and giving him avocados and more fruits (not bananas though). 

I just cut meat out this weekend b/c since we introduced it he's had major issues w/ constipation.  I'm pretty sure avocados should help loosen the stool a bit. 

But since he's had this issue for so long.. i would make an appointment with a GI for some testing.
