need haircutting tips....DS and clippers

I wanted to shave his head last night, but not close. I used a size 6 guard. The back seems longer than the top. His colic is all jacked up, and his long side burns make him look Amish. Should I go to a 4 or 5 for the other parts? Or do you have tips to making it all look even?

  • My tip... Take him to a professional.
  • DS#2 has curly hair, so I don't do his myself, but when I use to do my DS#1's hair, I would always do longer on the top shorter and the sides and back and fade it up.

  • Only tip I have is to slowly back away from the clippers and let someone else fix it.

Trust me, I've been there.  Dh has strictly forbidden me to ever try to cut the kids' hair on my own again.  ;-)

  • I cut DS hair, but I always use scissors. Clippers scare me.

And it's cowlick. Colic is tummy trouble. Big Smile
