I found out a few days ago that I am expecting my second child. I was so excited my husband and I had just decided on our wedding night to try conceiving.... apparently it worked. I was so shocked that it happened so soon!
Anyway, with the my first child I had some stress, resulting in heart rate troubles and caused me to have a c-section.
This time around I absolutely do not want another c-section! I have such a squimish back I can't deal with the needle (hoping to go epidural free). Also, I hated being strapped down and not being able to hold my son right after birth.
I am so worried that I am going to have to have a c-section this time around. I don't know if my weight will cause an issue (never lost the previous baby weight and I gained A LOT) or that the hospital I am going to will not want to to a VBAC. : /
Re: Hoping for VBAC this time around
Congrats!
I think one of the biggest factors is your provider, so if you have a local ICAN chapter I'd check them out first for referrals.
Your comment about your size made me think of a post I just saw on the subject: https://www.ourbodiesourselves.org/book/companion.asp?id=21&compID=125
Good luck and feel free to ask any questions you may have, there are a lot of women on here that have done a lot of research on VBACs.
