question about BG OS diaper- insert or doubler??

With the BG os diapers, when they are on the smallest size are you suppose to use the insert or the doubler in it? I thought it was the insert but then saw something about when you wear it on the smallest size you should use the doubler instead to make it fit better? Thanks!

Also, side note, can you use any sort of special stain spray that is okay to use on the diapers? I know the sun helps, but I was thinking ahead for the winter

The doubler was never enough absorbancy so I used the insert until I switched to hemp.  I don't think stain stuff is allowed.  I use oxyclean every now and then and it helps with stains.  But I have noticed that stains will eventually wash out anyway.

When using them on the smallest rise, snap the insert to the smallest size too.  It will definitely be bulky (as most OS diapers are when on the smallest rise) but the doubler does not have enough absorbency.

As for getting rid of stains in the winter, place the diapers near a window that gets some sun and that will help.
