Trying to choose a doctor in Pocatello, ID.

Hi All,

My husband and I just found out that I was pregnant last week.  I took a few different Home Pregnancy Tests, and along with missing my period and other symptoms, looks like I'm pregnant.

Now I need to make my first appt with a doctor.  I have never even had an exam or pap smear or anything.  So I am really nervous at that.  I want a place that is personal, and has time to actually listen.

I want a female doctor, and I would prefer a place that is open to Natural Birth/Water Birth and MidWifes.  I'm not sure what I will do yet.... but I want a doctor who is open to that.

I was thinking one of the female doctors at Pocatello Womens Clinic, but I'm just not sure.

So, any ideas of a good, female doctor in the Pocatello Area?

  • Hi there.

I go to the Pocatello Women's Clinic. I recommend all their staff. They are great.

  • I like Pocatello Women's as well. They have midwives and Dr. Shelley, a female OB.

  • Go to Pocatello Women's Clinic. The care of the midwives there knocked my socks off while I was still in Idaho. Amazing. Also, when I called, I decided to ask the receptionists not who they thought was best (they can't legally tell you that) but who they thought most had the heart of a teacher. The lady didn't even hesitate. She said, hands down, the midwives. And I have to agree.
