Brown spotting = u/s this afternoon

Yesterday, I had some brown spotting after I wiped. Of course it started right after my OB's office closed. It only lasted for a little bit, but still completely freaked me out. Poor DH came home to me sobbing in the kitchen.

I called my OB's nurse line this AM and they called me back within 10 minutes. The nurse listened to what was going on with the spotting and said she wanted to talk to my doctor and would call me back.

So long story short, they moved up my dating ultrasound from next Friday to today at 3pm. They were so kind to me on the phone and understood how nervous I am because of my previous m/c last August. I love my OB's office :-)

Please pray for a great u/s!!!

  • T&P coming your way.  Good luck this afternoon.

  • That's great that they moved it up!  I hope you hear the wonderful sound of your LO's heartbeat today.  Good luck! :)

  • Same thing happened to me today (although I did have some red blood and lots of bad cramping) and it all turned out beautifully. Honestly, the medical professionals made me ten times more freaked out than I already was so my advice would be to listen to your body. If your body is telling you that it is ok - it probably is. Good luck and keep us updated.

  • Sounds like you have a very nice and attentive OB office. Kudos to them! I had exactly the same thing happen to me 2 weeks ago. Because I had a history of ectopic pregnancy, I freaked out and called the OB office. I was brought in for an early (5 week) u/s the very next day, and got our reassurance that our LO is in the uterus, right where (s)he should be.

Good luck at your u/s today. Keep us posted!
