I'm in Calgary visiting my family and I purposely made sure not to mention it on Facebook because there are people who get mad when I come to visit and I don't see them. I'm sorry, but I rarely get to see my family and they want to spend time with L. I would much rather see family then people who only talk to me when I'm in town.
I've never shared a FFFC before, so here it goes: (deep breath)
It took me a year and a half to change my name after H and I were married. At first it wasn't a priority for me, but eventually H started really getting on my case about it. Constantly. Which annoyed the hell out of me, so I continued to not do it. It wasn't legal until about 2 weeks before D was born.
I am so childish and petty.
Yeah mine still isn't changed either, just been one of those things I've been meaning to do.

I never had a problem with breastfeeding at all. Actually, this entire pregnancy/ labor/ having a baby deal seems natural to me. I mean, I never had morning sickness, my ankles were never swollen.. I didn't even rip (but then again, she was a tiny 5 lbs, 15oz.)! I was induced via foley catheter, after which my doctor inserted a pitocin pill... and from the time he put the foley in, to the time Abigail was actually born, it was only like 13 hours. I didn't have any pain medication until the next day when I took motrin for cramps. And I wore my pre-pregnancy jeans home. Actually, I was never too big for them. It probably was the way I was carrying, or whatever, but for the record, I did use a hair tie to button them.
I'm really not trying to brag or anything like that... just sharing.
After Abigail was born, we took to breastfeeding as though we had been doing it forever. She latched perfectly the first time (but she wasn't really hungry so she didn't eat anything...). I absolutely love the bond I have with my daughter.
I am severely blessed, and I am so proud to be her mama.

I don't plan on changing mine. It doesn't bother any of us (yet).
I'm not flaming, but I don't understand why.

A few nights ago we came home from my parent's house (we had been helping them build something) and DH had taken Finn's car seat into his room because he had fallen asleep. He came back out with a huge sad frown on his face. He said we had not buckled him in the car seat (he had fallen asleep in it at my parent's house so I guess we just both assumed since he was already in it when we walked out to the car to leave that he must have been buckled in already). That whole drive home he was unbuckled while we were driving 65 mph on the freeway. I feel like dying just thinking about it. Worst parents ever.
We did this once too. I felt TERRIBLE when I went to get Jack out and realized he wasn't buckled in. The good news is that now I always double check!

Other than the 13 hour labor (24 hours for my first) this was me with pregnancy and everything for DS 1. I actually left the hospital at 134 lbs and I was 135 lbs when I got pregnant with him. 10 years later, it was MUCH harder being pregnant. Physically I firmly believe 19 was the best time to be pregnant. Mentally? I am much more calm and mature now.
