6 month photo dilemma

Who I worked with for the newborn shots is good, but charges $300 a session for 15 images and I don't think she is lenient on that in any way.  I really don't want to do portrait innovations for these and want something better, but not busting my wallet.  I know photographers have been discussed on here before, so any recommendations or is what my original photographer offering sound fair?

I think what Alison charges for what she does is a fair price, but we are only using her once a year because of the price (we are booking her again in Sept and can't wait!).  I love her work, but can't afford to do it multiple times a year.

I highly recommend Jennifer Rose Photography. You can find her on facebook, she did DS's 6 month photos and they are awesome! They are my favorite so far of DS and I have used 3 other photographers, including a very expensive one. Jennifer gave us over 100 edited photos and the rights to everything.

I love her work too, but wanted to do every 3 mos for the first year, yearly after that which I think she is fair on.

Also, since Jen is building her portfolio, she only charges $100 and that includes the session (she will come to your house or you can go to hers, or a park, etc) and the CD of edited photos.

My sister and I used Jen to take pictures of Elena and my nephew as a present for my mom for Mother's Day.  She was awesome.  If I could change my siggy, you could see some of the pictures.

Jen rose! If the dumb bump let me change my pic you could see beautiful 1 year pics she did of Georgia. We were incredibly happy with the results!

Oh my! you girls are the best There are some very talented photogs on this board so you have lots of choices. i think 300.00 is good for a quality photographer and i do like the images Alison Kamper produces. This is my *personal* opinion, if i had the cash, i'd pay that easily but i would want definitely want more images...im not talking 75 or 100 but i would be happy with 25-40 images at that price.

I personally wouldn't pay that much. I nay be cheap though. I know we have at least a few talented photographers on this board. Maybe stick with this personal for just yearly shots and use Jen or Amanda for all the ones in the middle
