I know its gotta be lower then regular chocolate but their label doesnt say anything and neither does their website. Just wondering if this is ok to eat in moderation and if any of you ladies know anything about it. Thanks!
Probably-- minimal amounts I would think. If coffee is okay in moderation I can't imagine why Nutella would be an issue. If you're consuming enough Nutella for the caffeine in it to be a problem, the sugar and fat will catch up to you first! LOL.
I eat it...never thought about caffeine in it. I dip fruit in it, or sometimes, if I just need something sweet, I just eat a spoonful of it. I agree with ababymaybe...the fat and sugar would pose more of an issue!
That's a good question I guess considering there is cocoa in it. I would imagine if it's not on the ingredient label the amounts are too insignificant to even list and I wouldn't worry about it. I loved nutella when I first started buying it but now I've run out of things to put it on. It's just too sugary for anything but a sweet treat or dessert imo.
And about the caffeine thing...I drink caffeinated drinks. I try to not to and I've decreased the amounts greatly but I still have a little something about everyday. To me it's not about the health effects in utero (bc I know you must consume great quantities for it to be dangerous) but I worry about the withdrawal symptoms after the baby's born. I'm not going to be giving her coke and coffee in a bottle so I worry she might feel as crappy as I do when I need caffeine.

Nutella is almost all fat and sugar, with a tiny trace of caffeine from the cocoa. You can have a moderate amount of caffeine each day (I drink a cup of coffee almost daily still, and did with DD)...I would limit nutella just because it isn't healthy. Any nut butter is way more nutritious and is used in the same way. JMO.
Re: Nutella? Is there caffeine in this?
Caffeine will not harm you or your baby as long as you're not drinking 5 giant cups from a coffee shop everyday and drinking Coke all day.
I was told one to two "caffeine's" a day is fine. I'm sure nutella will be ok

According to their website, there is "just a trace of caffeine in a two tablespoon serving"

I wouldn't worry about it. You'd have to eat a LOT of Nutella to even get a noticeable caffeine buzz, much less harm a baby.

It's okay to have about 200 mg of caffeine a day, so any minimal amount in Nutella is nothing to be concerned over.
