Peeing horizontally?

Okay, so I happen to think this is pretty funny, but I would like someone to confirm that it might just be "normal."  After I have been sitting for a long period of time and then I go straight into the bathroom to pee, I end up peeing horizontally (like, right out of the toilet - usually right out of the space between the seat and the toilet...it sprays on the floor...yep, like a man.)  I am assuming that my nether regions just swell, flatten, and I pee before it has time to re-direct. Thoughts?

Hahaha. I love this post. I haven't actually peed out of the toilet (yet) but the stream has definitely been pretty horizontal a couple times. Too funny.

I agree with the poster above, "I love this post".  LOL!!  And yes, me too!!  Horizontal at times...I think I even got some on my pants at one point.  Wasn't too happy about that and was a little grossed-out. hahaha.

This happened to me at the doctor's office when trying to do a sample! I ended up with just a tiny bit in the cup which led to the "are you drinking enough" question from the staff.  I wanted to answer "I'm not dehydrated, I just can't take a lady-like pee anymore" but I was nice and replied with a "yes, I drink a ton, thanks."

This has happened to me once... And of course, it was while attempting to collect a urine specimen! haha Put the cup right under myself and barely got a drop in there until I angled myself like an ungraceful ballet dancer.

I did this the other night and it went all over my legs and the floor before I realized what was happening!

This has happened to me, but only after sex. I haven't had it pregnancy related yet. However, I did realize one of those You know you are pregnant when.. moments the other day. You know you are pregnant when your arms are now too short to pee in a cup.

sit with your legs shoulder width apart and kinda lean forward...I have found that helps some

I had this problem in the months following DD1's birth. I mentioned it to my doctor and she laughed and said it was weird but didn't have an explanation for me. It has since stopped (thank goodness!). It really does suck when you're not expecting it and all of a sudden it's up and out and you've got wet pants or socks. Ewwww!

LOL!  Mine is getting there.  I haven't had it bad enough to escape the toilet yet but I forsee it coming. 

Aaah how glamorous pregnancy is.  I'm not sure how some women "feel sexy" when they are pregnant.

Hehe! This happened to me the other day and I didn't know what to do! lol.

I'm so happy it's not just me though. I wonder why that happens :S

And the peeing in a cup, IMPOSSIBLE now! I can't really see whats going on down there, for one, and apparently I can't predict where its going anymore, either. And every other week, I'm in the doctor's office trying to figure it out, lmao.

So glad I'm not the only one...  I went to the RR half asleep and went back to bed.  First thing in the morning I woke up and blamed it on the hubs missing the bowl.  Only later did I realize when it happened again that it was ME.  I was mortified!
