I am having another baby and my twins will be 18 months old when the new baby arrives. I'm thinking about getting a Baby Jogger SBS (already have the City Select but unfortunately you can't add a third baby to that) and then adding this adaptor:

Here's my question: Do you think this adaptor can be used with two toddlers sitting AND a baby in a carrier? Based on the description, I think it's intended for one toddler and one baby in a carrier, with the carrier being positioned over one of the seats. The only reason the carrier/adaptor can slide to the middle is to balance the stroller if the toddler gets out, so it won't be heavy on one side (where the carrier would have been if it hadn't been slid to the middle). It seems like if you try to use it with two toddlers AND the baby carrier slid to the middle, one toddler will have all those black bars under his thighs, right?
I don't get it. Do you think I could use the adaptor for two toddlers AND a baby?
Re: Can someone give me their take on this stroller thingie?
No, I don't think it sounds like a good idea. I understand what you are trying to do, but I think it's not safe for the toddler who has to sit behind the adapter. There is NO space for his legs, how do you plan on fitting him in the seat? A big no-no.
Just buy a triplet stroller, that's all you can do. Or just wear the newborn and take the twins in a SBS

I've heard the Valco Tri Mode can possibly work for the twins + baby situation (I'm on the hunt for one now). If that doesn't work, I just plan on wearing the baby in a Moby or a Bjorn and using my Maclaren SBS.
Congrats on baby #3, btw!!!
I have seen the baby jogger city mini double with the carseat in the middle and twins in the actual stroller. I also almost bought that adapter from someone on Craigslist and the woman who was selling it said that she would use it with three. I'm not sure how comfortable it would be with the bars though.
