I never gave Max avocado until he was at least 2...Not for any particular reason other than I didn't think of it. If you have fed your LOs avocado, when did you introduce it? Also, did you mash it up and spoon feed it or did you do a small dice as a finger food?

Re: When did you introduce avocado to LOs?
It was our 3rd food, after cereal and bananas. So around 5 months when we started solids?
I used to thin it down with formula, now I just puree it. I can see it as a finger food, except I'm too lazy to dice it. When I get sushi, Harry and Alex eat all the avocados in my rolls they LOVE it! (I just fish it out and feed it to them, taking caution not to give them any that were near shellfish).
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I could live off of avocado alone. I was sad when my kids spit it out at me.
I gave it to them pureed plain and pureed with banana. The banana went over better than the plain. I haven't given it to them as a finger food yet. It's on the list.
Mashed at 6 months (when we introduced solids) and cubed at 9 months.
They didn't like it- one of the few foods they didn't like. A few weeks ago they kept eating the guacamole off my chips at a party...so I guess we can try it again!
This exactly. At about 8 months, I just cut them in long slices and let them nom on them.
I think it was our first food after cereal. So easy to prepare. Just mash and serve.
I'm so glad they like it b/c it's one of the protein rich foods they still consistently like.
