What will his hands do?

This morning I was laying in bed while Silas had just finished eating and dozed back to sleep. I looked at his chubby little hands with tiny fingernails and dimples at his knuckles and started to think, what will these hands do? Will they: perform life-saving operations, put criminal's hands in cuffs, write novels, throw balls, build houses, hold a bible and preach the word, create 5-star meals, fight fires, perform concerts, heal animals, sign legislation, steer a ship, hold a gavel? It is amazing to think of his endless options. What I want very most is for these little hands to grow into big hands that know how to work but most importantly know how to love. I pray each day that I can raise this beautiful baby boy into an amazing man!

This gave me my perspective today, just wanted to say thanks. I'm still feeling really depressed, and even more depressed that I feel like its making me wish the time away instead of cherishing it. Thanks for the reminder.
