Are there any activities/skills that you never learned growing up that you hope your child will learn? For example: I wish I knew how to play an instrument - any instrument. So in raising my kids, I would like to give them the opportunity to learn one.
I would never force them to do an activity they didn't want to do, but I will do whatever I can to introduce them to as many different options as possible.
Re: Activities as your child grows up...
A local grocery store offers cooking classes for kids as young as kindergarten. I would love for my kids to do that, and will participate in the classes with them. I figure it will be a fun way to spend time together and it also teaches them a life skill.
Also I think Hula lessons would be really fun. I liked the idea of having a daughter learning the Hula even before I was pregant. We live in the midwest, but I have a place that will teach young girls the Hula. I know it might seem weird but I think it would be cute.
Oh also swimming lessons. My mom made us kids take them ( serious ones like your final test is riding your bike into a pool with a winter coat on and trying to get out) and I am grateful she did. We used to live in Phoenix and around swimming pools all the time.
