I adore this name, and it's a family name on both sides for us. What would you use as a middle name? I saw Jane Ellen and thought that was kind of pretty, just not sure how well it flows together. Thanks!
I love Jane. Not sure I like the way it flows with Ellen...It also depends on your last name. I think Jane Elizabeth sounds very pretty. With a one syllable first name, def go with at least 2 syllables for the middle name.
I love the name Jane, it's a beautiful and classic name. But Jane Ellen seems a little "plain Jane" to me....What about Jane Magnolia? I see it's part of your screen name. I love Magnolia!
Either way, i would try to get something a little more "fun" for a MN with Jane.

That's just my opinion though
That was one of our top choices forever...until dh decided he didn't like Magnolia anymore .
For the record our last name starts with R and rhymes with Fisher, if that helps

Have you thought about using Jane as a middle name? Our daughter is Aubrey Jane (Jane is also a family name on my side -- my mom and grandmother are both Jane). I think it flows so nicely with many first names.

Agreed! My mom's name is Jane, and it's my top choice for a middle name. It goes beautifully with many first names and then you can be a little creative with a more unique first name.

I'm a little biased but my mom's name is Jane Ellen. I've always loved it, both very classic names. However she has insisted that no child be named after her so.... it won't be used by me.
I've herad Jane Ann(e) but that may be a little plain. I think Jane Ellen is nice.
