Pregnant after 35

Baby Names....HELP!??

Are any of you in the same boat....cannot figure out a name? Maybe it's because I already have two girls (this being the third)--and DH and I can't agree on a name. Do any of you know of websites that list names 'off the beaten path?' Although I do love Sofia (I KNOW it's overused...but so pretty). Blahhhhhh. Help will be greatly appreciated. Would love to hear about your resources!!! ;-)

Re: Baby Names....HELP!??

  • I like on babycenter.com they have a "baby name explorer" tool. Type in a name you like (sofia) and click on the name in the list. Then, you can click on "baby name explorer" and it does a little map of similar names. Maybe that will help?

  • Nymbler.com will give you suggestions based on names you like. Although we're still early in the pregnancy, I think it will take us a while to find a name we like this time. I'm clueless on what to use if we have a girl. I have a few boys names I like, but I don't know if DH is on board with them.

  • One of the reasons it's SUCH a relief that we're having a boy - he's DH III - hand me down names make life SO much easier!

Good luck - some great suggestions already!

  • That is not my favorite subject. I am almost due (maybe any minute now), but our little boy is still nameless. We have several options, so hopefully he will look like some name when we meet him in the hospital:)

I have checked many name sites. The recommendations from the PP are good and I also liked https://www.behindthename.com/ .

    Good luck with your quest!

  • I have found www.nameberry.com a great help, as well as the Babyname wizard.

We FINALLY have a long list, and I hope to have it shortened very soon!

  • I had a couple of girl names I realy liked, then we found out we're having a boy.

We have no clue.  DH seems to have a problem with any name he has ever known anyone by that name whether it be a good or bad connection.  It is severly limiting our choices.
