Advice from Clomid users...

Hey ladies,

Just want to introduce meself to you. My name is Bella, my DH and I have been TTC for a year and a half. We are just starting Clomid this month and we are very, very nervous and excited!!! 

I'm about to start clomid in a few days (today is CD2) for the first time. Anyone have any advice about it? I'm fearing being pregnant with multiples, trust me 2 babies are always better than none, but I have anxiety over this, haha. How long did it take you to get a BFP? How many did you have? Any miscarriages along the way while on Clomid? Do you take anything else with it (vitamins)? I'm really excited but not wanting to get my hopes up since obviously we have been TTC for a while. I apologize in advance for the million questions, I'm sure you all understand what it's like. Thanks guys!!!

You should lurk on the TTTC board   There are tons of things that you could do to at least feel like you are increasing your odds..I don't remember all of the things and what they are for anymore, but things like mucinex, wheat grass, pineapple core, baby aspirin, and who knows what else....  I tried a bunch to feel like I was doing what I could.   I also tried a no white flour/white sugar diet for a bit and that was the month that I got pregnant...who knows if it helped, but again, it made me feel a little more in control.  Good luck!

GL to you! I got pregnant on the third cycle of 50 mg clomid, twice. (My latest pregnancy was unassisted). I took the clomid at night to minimize side effects (hot flashes). I am a clomid fan because for me it worked. I've had 3 mc's but never while on the clomid. I think I drank green tea to increase CM. I hope you get your bfp soon, we all know the frustrations along the way. Take care!

How long did it take you to get a BFP? It took me 4 doses of Clomid at 200 mg including an Ovidrel injection.  (I did have an IUI, though-no timed intercourse)

Any miscarriages along the way while on Clomid? Not for me

Do you take anything else with it (vitamins)?You should definitely be taking prenatal vitamins EVERY DAY!

I did 5 cycles on clomid - 2 with TI and 3 with IUI.  None of which worked for me -- not to say that they won't work for you.  I just did not respond well to the clomid no matter how much they increased my dosage.  On my first cycle with injectables I got pregnant - my fourth IUI.

You should try lurking on the TTC or Infertility board -- I'm sure they can answer so many of your questions (although, many of us do not mind here either).
