Anyone have any recommendations for a pest control service that may be eco or child safe, if those even go together. I have just been noticing a lot of bugs in the house lately.
I work for a pest control company -- but I'm not comfortable posting out here! PM me if you like and I can be more specific. I'm a corporate employee and I am by no means an expert on extermination, but I know a little bit!
There is a standard for pest control companies called "QualityPro" - it's like the Good Housekeeping seal for PC companies so they are meeting standards that other companies may not be meeting, like the background checks run on employees and the training they are required to have. There are several QualityPro companies in the area.
The best way to protect your family and be environmentally responsible is for a company to follow an industry standard for service applicationcalled "integrated pest management" - that basically means they need to inspect properly, identify the pest AND the true cause of the problem, and then apply the right product in the most environmentally responsible way. You hear the words "IPM" from a company and that is a good sign too.
People come up with lots of so-called "green" solutions for pest control. What you need is a product that works for your particular problem, applied the right way, and THAT is what protects your kids and environment,
Anyway, PM me and I can refer you to someone specific if you like!
I have been please with both Breda and Northwest. Breda is smaller but Northwest covers more area. Both will listen to your wishes and make recommendations based on your needs.
