New to all this

Hi everyone!!

 So I am new to all of this.  My hubby and i decided that we are going to start trying.  I went off the pill this week and we've been doing the calculations and all.. everything is fine, no stress, but all i want to do is read about babies and talk to people and getting pregnant, have any of you told anyone that you are TTC?  Maybe just being on here will be enough for me not to start blabbering baby talk all around haha..

I've told a few close friends. The ones I tell everything to... but I'm not telling anyone else.  Congrats on TTC!

My mom knows, and a couple of my closest friends, but I'm not telling many people. It's too much pressure when everyone knows you're trying, and I don't need the "why aren't you pregnant yet?" questions. I already get bugged about it by people who have no clue we're trying. Congrats on TTC, hope you get your BFP soon.

Hi and welcome to the boards!  I haven't told anyone except for really close friends, DH's dad and my mom.  Didn't want all the pressure from everyone and them constantly asking me "are you KU yet??"

This board is great and filled with very knowledgeable people.  I've learned so much about TTC here.

My advise to you is to read the "newbie" link at the top of the board, read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and sign up to Fertility Friend to start charting your cycles.  You can click on anyone's ticker/siggy to get there and it's free to sign up.  This is my first month charting/temping and i'm learning so much about my body.

Hello and Welcome! I have shared TTC with a few close friends and that is it. I don't want everyone asking me questions about it all the time. I do suggest to read the newbie link at the top of the board. It has lots of great info!

I intended to keep it between DH and I, but I'm no good at keeping my own secrets and have talked about it with a couple friends who are also TTC.  Everyone knows we want kids soon, so most people probably assume, I just try not to bring it up.  I'm so excited I'm having a hard time keeping it to myself.  At least our moms don't know!

Welcome!  My H and I were not going to tell anyone, but I broke and told my two best friends.  He then told his best friend.  I have not talked about it at all with my friends since.

Welcome!  At first, we weren't going to tell anyone.  But now we have the support of both of our families since we have hit a few bumps in the road.

Welcome! My Hubbs and I just made the decision this week! I've only told my best friend but wont be telling anyone else.. same reasons as everyone else.. I dont want people asking if we are and I REALLY dont want any of my clients freaking out about Maternity leaves and whatnot lol

I started to tell my mother. Her reaction to my news of being off BCP was "I hope you are using other forms of protection". I stopped the conversation at that point and decided to keep it between DH and I

My suggestion - temp and chart.

We had planned on the 'just see how a few months goes' approach, but after the first 2WW (the worst was not knowing if it was a 'real' 2WW), I decided I need to know. If I know I didn't O it would not be great, but at least there would be no wondering and POAS every day.

I wish no one knew! When people have asked we have been saying, "We haven't even been married a year yet! Maybe this summer...." Well, summer is here and now the questions are really coming! I down play it by saying "We're thinking about it." Even though we are full blast totally TTC!! Being able to think/talk about it here really does help me not talk about it!

 I have only been on here a short while but I have learned a TON! However, it tends to make me obsess over it, so I'm trying to relax and have fun with it!
