A few questions

Hi ladies...I have two questions for you. My LO is 6 weeks old tommorrow and we are co-sleeping. How long did those of you who have or are co-sleeping plan on doing so ?

Secondly, I'm breastfeeding but we are having to supplement at night time because our little one would nurse for like 5 hours straight. Just wondering how much those of you who are doing the same are giving them . Seems like we are doing 2-3 oz and I just wasnt sure if that was normal or not. thanks for input !

Re: A few questions

  • Happy 6 weeks to both our lo's tomorrow! It's gone by so quickly.

We are co-sleeping as well, with my oldest, we did that until she started to roll over and it became uncomfortable for her to be in bed with us. Then we started transitioning her to her crib. It went well for us. We started laying her down in her crib for her initial bed time, and when she woke up to eat, I'd bring her in bed with us. Over time she was sleeping longer and longer in her crib, and eventually I started putting her back in her crib after she ate, and then she started sleeping through the night. It went really well for us and wasn't a difficult transition at all.

I plan on doing the same thing this time!

That sounds like a good plan! I am stealing it from you!

Ashley is 5 weeks and bed-shares with me full-time. I think I am going to start transitioning her during naps next week and at night at 7-8 weeks. Unless something pops up and we need to do it earlier or later.
