Trying to Get Pregnant

Announcing TTC to Urgent Care - fun vent.

So I have manged to make it 32 years without a sprain or a fracture or a break and while I am in my 2WW I managed to take my dog out and wrench my ankle/foot in a hole in the ground.  Earned myself a trip to Urgent Care where I got to announce that I was TTC and don't know if I am KU yet so no xray and no good pain pills.  But I have the sexiest walking cast ever - too bad this isnt my fertile week because with this gimp there is no way DH could keep his hands off.  Oh the fun.  That and now my tetnus is up to date for the gorgeous blazing red scratch down my leg.  Woot Woot - I rock.  :)

  • Oh no! Hope you're ok and not in too much pain! No fun having a cast in the summer.

  • Oh no, I hope you feel better soon! Is it still too early for them to have done a blood test to check if you're KU? I work in a hospital lab, and every woman "of childbearing age" gets a blood HCG before any radiology work.

And that's not a red scratch... call it a racing stripe! Big Smile

  • Yikes!  The same thing happened to me, except I was confident I was getting ready to O.  Sure enough, I did O the day I got the x-rays.  Good luck and hopefully you feel better soon :)

  • Oh man that sucks! Hope you heal quickly :) I had to tell my dentist my last 2WW that there was a "possibility" so he shouldn't take X rays, everyone around the office heard and started congratulating me...I was like "Ah yeah I don't actually know yet but thanks" kind of embarrassing. Feel better :)

  • Ugh, I'm so sorry!  That's really lame.  Lots of ice and elevating?  At least you can do those.  Feel better soon.

  • Thanks everyone - they only offered a poas test and I couldn't imagine getting a positive at the urgent care or getting a negative and feeling all down even though its too early to tell.  I am elevating, icing and limping - super fun.  Thanks for all the kind words - you all are so sweet.  Who knew TTC could be so fun :)
  • Oh No! Hope you feel better soon. That sux about no meds but better to be safe than sorry.

  • Yeah I am supposed to go to the orthopedic office if I still have pain tomorrow and they will do the xray - the doctor at the urgent care didnt want to do the xray without knowing even though it was probably fine and he said we will just treat it as a fracture until I can get to the foot doctor - I appreciated them being cautious and since he said even if they did the xray I would need another at the foot doctor I agreed with him to keep it to one instead of two - just in case :)  Thanks for the information - all the stuff online and in books can make you super paranoid and ready to live in a bubble.
