S/O: super easy recipe blog? or cookbook?

So I have probably asked for this before, but I am newly committed to learning to cook.  :)

-I'm a quasi-vegetarian so vegetarian or fish recipes would be great.

-Lots of fresh local veggies.  We just signed up for a CSA and we love it.  They have recipes, but they are waaaay above my ability level.

-No crazy ingredients.  Also, we like to cook with fresh food.  We don't really have canned foods.

-We like light dishes.  Obviously not light in calories if you've ever met me, but light in flavor.  I'm not generally a fan of sauces that call for heavy cream if you know what I mean.  Light in fat would be a bonus.

-Super easy.  Barring that, super detailed instructions.  I can boil pasta, but that's about it.  I am a competent baker though, so things that go in the oven are great.  We do have a crockpot, but all of the recipes I've seen for them involve a hunk of beef.

I realize that probably no blog meets all of my requirements, but I'm hoping for some recommendations that meet several of them.  I would love to follow several so I can get some ideas.  Thanks!

  • I cook a lot from myrecipes.com.  Its not a blog, but has recipes from Cooking Light, Southern Living and a few other magazines.  The Cooking Light recipes would be a good fit for you.  They do a lot of veggies and offer vegetarian recipes.  People rate the recipes, so you know which ones are good or can read tips from the readers on how to make it better.  You can search by ingredient, so if you get something in your CSA box you could search by that and see what comes up.

I was going to rec this site, too.  CL has recipes that can be done in 30 minutes or less.  I think you can check the Quick & Easy box so that these recipes come up.  I search by ingredients that we pick up at the Farmer's Market every week and have found some great stuff on there.  You can also select vegetarian, fish, etc.
