Baby Names

we have a girls name!

Goodness it's such a process agreeing on names with DH.  We've had a boys name but the girls name was up in the air.  We finally decided!  Linsey Paige will be our daughters name if we have a girl.  I think it's a girl by the way.  We shall see!  Can't wait.

  • In my neck of the woods. Lindsay and Linsey are two different names.

    Lynn-D-say as opposed to Lynn-Z.

Similar to Alicia (Al-eee-sha) vs  Alisha (A- lish-A)

  • I just didn't like how it looked with a D.  We're going to pronounce it Lynn-Z.  Our last name is really long (11 letters) so the less for the first name the better even if it is just 1 less.  =)

  • I love Lindsay/Lindsey, but without the "d" I would look at it and pronounce it "Lin-see" instead of "Lind-zee."

    Also love Paige.

I agree. It looks odd with no D.

I live in IL and Lindsay and Lindsey are pronounced the same here.

And never ever have her name spelled right by anyone.  It's cute, but I tend to like traditional spelling, especially on a fairly common name like that.

My name is Lyndsey (with a y) and no one EVER spells it right!  The question every single person asks me is "with an e or an a?"  which tells me that the common and only normal ways to spell this name are Lindsey or Lindsay.  My name has not hindered me at all in my life, but it is the biggest pain in the ass spelling it for every single person who asks for my e-mail address.   And of course, nothing is personalized with my spelling, which may not seem like a big deal, but when you are 10 it is.  I beg you, please spell it one of the two "normal" ways!  Other wise, great name!

  • As a Lindsay - I really prefer this name with a D.

It just looks like you forgot a letter.
