Toddlers: 24 Months+

I feel better about our new daycare :)

Ok, so I am very much a helicopter mom. I know what my daughter is doing at every minute, and I don't even like her being outside playing with the MIL without me (with good reason, MIL likes to leave her outside or let her open the gate and go into the garage, as long as she stays out of the connecting alley-wtf)

I was very worried about leaving her at a new daycare, and on the first day they didn't do anything to ease my worries. I dropped her off when they were getting ready for naptime, which I knew ahead of time, but I still expected someone to come over and ask me about her personality and introduce themselves to her and whatnot, the things I did when I worked at one. No one did. So I walked over, sat my daughter down next to one of the teachers, and told her what she needed to know. My friend's daughters also go to the daycare with one in the same room, so she checked on her for me when she dropped her daughter off later. When I picked her up, they talked to me a little more but seemed more concerned with the fact that they were down to 7 (with the ratio they only needed 1 teacher in the room at that point). Later my friend and I found out that 1 teacher was new and 1 was a sub, leaving 1 teacher who actually knew what was going on.

Today when I dropped her off, another teacher was in the room... one girl who worked at the daycare my daughter goes to during the school year (it's on campus and of course they aren't open summer quarter) works there! We were both pretty excited!
