I wanted to start letting DD eat some Cheerios, but I only buy the honey nut cause they are good. I know babies can't have honey, but what about honey flavored things? I don't mind buying the regular Cheerios for her, but if I can give her what I already have that would be great. Which can she have?
Re: regular cheerios or honey nut cheerios?
This. The concern about raw honey is that it can contain (I think?) botulism. I'm thinking that's not a concern in a cooked item like cheerios, but I still wouldn't give them to her because of the sugar.
Dittos the previous posters...
9g of sugar in the honey nut variety, 1g in regular. The honey nut cheerios also have "natural almond flavor" in them...I don't know if that qualifies as almonds or not, but I'd be careful introducing nuts of any kind to her before a year.
