My DS was diagnosed with a "probable milk allergy" a few weeks ago, and when we switched him to soy he had a similar reaction, so now he's on Alimentum and so far, so good. After doing some research though, it seems like this is probably MSPI, but how do you really know if it's MSPI or a true allergy to soy/milk? Only through testing?
Re: how do you know if it's MSPI or an allergy?
My twins are 5! My baby is 3!
DS#2 - Allergic to Cashew, Pistachio, Kiwi
DS#3 - Allergic to Milk, Egg, Peanut, Tree Nuts and Sesame
ditto pp.
over 50% kids that can't tolerate (or are allergic) to cows milk are also intolerant (or allergic) to soy. My son is allergic to both.
