we often travel to my inlaws, and parents house and have to spend the night. If there is an extra room available we put DD in her PNP in the spare room .... if someones using it then she'll sleep in the room with us (which i hate bc she gets up early and stares at us! haha)
wonder what people do with 2 little ones?? in the event we will all have to share a room, do they go to sleep without keeping the other one awake?? 2 PNP in one room sounds like a nightmare haah!!!

Re: sleeping arrangements when traveling
So we haven't done it yet since DD#2 has yet to make her arrival. We do have a camping trip planned for 6 weeks after her due date. Our plan is for each of the girls to have their own pack n' play in the tent with us, we have a big tent. However I have a feeling that my in-laws will want DD#1 to sleep with them in their trailer.
But yes our plan for all of our trips is to take 2 pnps when we go places and just do the best we can.
However I should say that DD#1 is an amazing sleeper and we normally don't have issues with her when we travel.

Good question!
I am traveling about 10 hours in July with both kids (DD will have just turned 2 and DS will be 8 months). Right now I'm thinking DS will go in a PnP and DD will sleep in bed with me. Trouble is, I don't know how she will do in a bed because she has always been in a crib. And I don't want to test that away from home. Still figuring it all out.

Depending on ages and sleep schedules, we've done a couple things:
1. DH and DD sleep in same room, and I sleep in separate room with DS (when he was newborn and waking a lot at night)
2. Put DS to sleep first in our room and then DD to sleep in her own room. This worked fairly well for us, although DS woke up at 6 am ready to play and then I had to take him outside because we only had a 1-bedroom suite and I didn't want him to wake up DD or DH.
3. Put DS to sleep first and then try to get DD to sleep in the same room. We did this just last weekend and it was a partial fail b/c DD cries before bedtime EVERY night. She was screaming and waking him up, but we finally got both of them down and had an extra room to ourselves! We all slept in until 7:30-- great!
I think you'll have to figure it out as it goes, depending on their personalities, sleep schedules, etc. Honestly traveling with them right now is pretty tough.
ETA: DS is always in a crib or PNP, and we usually just make up a bed on the floor for DD. She's fallen out of bed otherwise.
